The existence of the oppressed continues. 200 years ago there were oppressed people, 2000 years ago too… But it is in our hands not to be oppressed 200 years from now or 2000 years from now, for this we have the concept of social democracy. Social democracy is a key, a compass, a book, a map for the oppressed.
The Social Democratic Movement exists for freedom and justice.
The Social Democratic Movement itself was formed, developed and lived in the process of the struggle of the oppressed.
It will exist as long as there are oppressed people. This movement will continue to exist in the minds and hearts of humanity so that there will be no more injustice and injustice.
It will exist to achieve justice again and again and again. Although it had earlier antecedents, it was born out of class struggle in the 19th century and spread all over the world.
It was born in different ways in each country. In our country, it has also developed in innovative and enlightenment movements, in democratic left political formations, on populist foundations, and has taken part in the process of struggle and created its own organisation.
In our country, the Republican People’s Party has been the main political ground of the Social Democratic Movement. In this context, the Republican People’s Party is a hope with its social democratic identity.
Of course, wherever the existence of the oppressed is recognised, there will be a Social Democratic Movement, and even if the struggle of the oppressed achieves results, an active Social Democratic Movement and a social democratic party are needed to protect these results and to ensure that the relationship of oppression and oppression does not return.
It is one of the tasks that should not be forgotten to emphasise the importance of the Republican People’s Party, which is the founder of our country and firmly committed to its founding values, also representing the Social Democratic Movement.
