Trump Nominated Burgum for Interior Ministry
US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that he will nominate North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum for Secretary of the Interior. Trump announced this important decision while addressing the participants at a reception at his famous mansion Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
Trump praised Burgum and said, “Burgum will do a great job at the helm of this department.” This statement created great anticipation about Burgum’s role in the cabinet.
Anti-Vaccine Candidate for the Ministry of Health
Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr., known for his anti-vaccine views, to the Ministry of Health. “I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as US Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), ” Trump said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump stated that industrial food and pharmaceutical companies have long victimised the American people through deception, misinformation and disinformation in the health field. He emphasised that he believes in Kennedy’s ability to solve these problems.
Kennedy, who took a sceptical approach to Covid-19 vaccines, had filed many lawsuits against large pesticide and pharmaceutical companies as a lawyer. Kennedy, a former Democrat, ran as an independent candidate in this year’s presidential election but later decided to withdraw from the race in favour of Trump.
Trump’s Nominees and Senate Approval
Leading the 5 November elections by a significant margin, Republican Trump continues to announce the names he is considering for ministries and other positions in the cabinet. The names nominated by Trump must be approved by the Senate, the upper wing of the US Congress. Since the Republicans have gained the upper hand in both wings of the parliament, it is considered certain that these names nominated by Trump will take their seats.
